| Fifty-two percent of the
Disability Services Coordinators in Region IV have degrees or licenses
in early childhood, special education, speech pathology or psychology.
Another forty percent hold degrees or licenses in "other
disciplines" that range from nursing to social work.
Florida and North Carolina report the largest number of Coordinators with degrees/licenses in early childhood. Mississippi, Kentucky and Florida, respectively have the largest percentage of coordinators with degrees/licenses in special education.
